03/06/2010 In order to boost communication and frequent exchange of visits between members of Gulf Petrochemicals and Chemicals Association (GPCA), the Association’s Fertilizer Committee arranged recently a workshop for the members at the GPIC’s Club, Kingdom of Bahrain.
Earlier, the prominent guests toured the Company and listened to a briefed review on the Company’s production and export operations. They also learned about the Company’s achievements which enabled the GPIC of winning number of global Awards. The participants also toured the Company’s environmental projects as well as the Urea Port; they cited the Company’s distinguished development and progress, especially in the technological domains. Engineers from Saudi Basic Industries company (SABIC), Petrochemical Industries Company (PIC), Qatar Fertiliser Company (QAFCO), Ruwais Fertilizer Industries (FERTIL), Saudi Arabia Mining Company (Ma'aden) and the leading Gulf Petrochemical Industries Company (GPIC), are participating in the workshop. A number of valuable working papers were presented during the workshop that dealt with ways to overcome business obstacles, reflecting the wide experience of those companies. The papers received satisfaction of all the participants in the gathering. At the end of the workshop, the participants thanked GPIC for hosting such event, looking forward for more valuable joint events in the near future. Its worth mentioning that (GPCA) -based in Dubai-was originally conceived in 2004 by its founding members with a view to forming a dedicated and non-profit association serving all of its members with a variety of data, technical assistance and resources required by the petrochemicals and chemicals industry. GPIC is one of the main founding members of the Association. |
