06/06/2010 As part of its policy of supporting Injaz projects targeting government schools and as part of its partnership with this pioneering organization, GPIC in co-ordination with the Education Ministry took the initiative to buy the products of Al Ahd Al Zahir Secondary School students. The products are sponsored by Injaz. The move comes in the wake of the win by the students of the Best Corporate Award as part of the “Corporate Programme” Competition recently launched by Injaz Bahrain for a number of secondary schools involved in this Programme. The students of the winning school produced a set of high quality environmentally friendly bags branded “E-Bags”. The Corporate Programme comes as part of a number of constructive programmes launched by volunteers from government ministries and private organizations to familiarize students with practical steps about the measures to be taken for setting up business companies in the real world. The Programme, launched in co-operation with the Ministry of Education, is designed to teach students how to take decisions, set up companies, distribute profits and terminate such companies. GPIC is always keen to provide all kinds of material and intangible support to the noble mission of Injaz Bahrain which is managed and led by HRH Shaikha Hessa bint Khalifa Al Khalifa which aims to sponsor Education Ministry school students and providing them with the right skills and tools to enter the job market. The Company’s annual competition was held for the third successive year at the GPIC Club under the auspices of HRH Shaikha Hessa bint Khalifa Al Khalifa and in the presence of HE Dr. Majid Al Noaimi, Minister of Education, Mr. Abdul Rahman Jawahery, GPIC General Manager and students taking part in the competition. Students of the winning school will take part in the mega competition that will be held on the pan-Arab level. Mr. Jawahery, who is also Board Chairman of Injaz Bahrain, expressed his pride in the Company’s contribution to supporting the students in their project of the company established by them according to the Programme rules sponsored by Injaz. He praised the tremendous efforts made by HRH Shaikha Hessa bint Khalifa Al Khalifa in supporting the youngsters and leaders of the future. He reiterated that with the support and directives of GPIC Chairman HE Shaikh Isa bin Ali Al Khalifa, the Company would continue to support the policies of Injaz Bahrain by all possible means to achieve its objectives. He urged all private sector businesses and companied to contribute to supporting Injaz Bahrain’s programmes to serve the ambitions of this leading organizations and to achieve its objectives. |
