08/06/2010 As a silver sponsor, Gulf Petrochemical Industries Company has participated in the career week 2010, held at the Bahrain Training Institute BTI, during the period from May 10 to 12, under the patronage of HE Dr. Majeed bin Mohsin Al Alawi, Minister of Labour.
HE Dr. Alawi was accompanied by number of BTI’s officials visited the company's stand, where they were received by Yusuf Ebrahim Fakhroo, Human Resources Manager and Mr. Abdul Ameer Al-Mullah Training and Development acting Superintendent.
The GPIC’s officials briefed the Bahraini minister on the company's employment, training and manpower development activities and policies. They also expressed the company's keenness to participate in such annual events that introduce students to workforce requirements in the local market and help them select the most suitable field depending on the market demands. It is worth mentioning that the BTI Career Week is a very important event that attracts the talented national students required by the labor market, and offer opportunities to the BTI’s students expected to graduate later this year. Meanwhile, this event was designed to inform Bahraini graduates about the job opportunities and careers on offer in different business and industrial sectors. Students and visitors praised the company's organized stand as well as training and activities programs provided by the GPIC which reflects the company's interest in the environment and its components. |
