22/06/2010 Gulf Petrochemical Industries Company hosted the GPIC Managing Director H.E. Mr. Anwar Saeed ben Salamah in his first visit to the company after his appointment as Managing Director.
He was received by GPIC General Manager Mr. Abdul Rahman Jawahery and members of the executive management as well as members of GPIC trade union. During his visit, ben Salamah who had served earlier as Board Deputy Chairman was briefed on the company’s production processes and profitability. He also met during his visit with members of the GPIC trade union and discussed with them the employees’ conditions and other issues of mutual concern. Then, H.E. Mr. Anwar Saeed ben Salamah honored number of the company’s distinguished employees, expressing his bride in the Bahraini employee stressing that training and development of national workforce remains a top priority of the GPIC’s management and said that the company will continue to develop and provide them with the opportunity to gain the experience and knowledge needed to boost such industry which is considered to be a reliable contributor to the economic prosperity of the kingdom. He offered the employees some of his valuable advices which have been extremely beneficial to them and will help them to build upon their professional strengths. It is worth mentioning that H.E. Mr. Anwar Saeed ben Salamah is also a deputy managing director at the Kuwait-based Petrochemical Industries Company (PIC). He has begun his career as assistant researcher at the Kuwait Institute for Scientific Research, then he joined (PIC) where he held several positions starting as Assistant Engineer, becoming the fertilizers’ Plants Operation Manager and now he is the deputy managing director of planning. As to the GPIC, Ben Salamah joined the company’s Board of Directors in 1995, between May 2007 and May 2010 he was elected as Board Deputy Chairman, and now he is the company’s Managing Director. |
