As an extension to the guidance and instructions of H.E Shaikh Isa bin Ali AL Khalifa, Advisor to HRM the Prime Minister for Oil and Industrial Affairs and GPIC Board Chairman and within the company’s plans to support local community and charities, Her Excellency Dr. Fatima bint Mohammed Al Baluchi, Minister of Social Development received in her office GPIC General Manager Mr. Abdul- Rahman Jawahery.

During the meeting, Mr. Jawahery who was accompanied by number of the company’s Executive management members, conveyed the greetings of H.E Shaikh Isa bin Ali AL Khalifa GPIC Board Chairman and handed over a BD 10,000 cheque as a donation from the company to the humanitarian activities of the country’s Disabled Rehabilitation Centers.

Praising the Rehabilitation Centers’ increased attention to disabled persons and the means of caring for them, Mr. Jawahery said that what the GPIC is doing in Community Service is Out of its corporate social responsibility, adding that the company has taken responsibility to leave its footprints through support and donations. “GPIC is one of not only the major industrial companies and contributors to the national economy, but also one of the leading companies in supporting humanitarian work” he added.

For her part, Her Excellency Dr. Fatima bint Mohammed Al Baluchi expressed her thanks and appreciation to HE Shaikh Isa bin Ali Al Khalifa, GPIC Board Chairman and executive management for this generous donation that will go a long way towards supporting the Rehabilitation Centers.

Dr. Al Baluchi lauded the GPIC’s dedication to provide support to the charitable societies, encouraging other organizations and establishments to follow GPIC's footstep. She finally wished the company further success.
