On Sunday 27th June, 2010 HE Mr. Anwar Saeed bin Salama, Managing Director of Gulf Petrochemical Industries Company made an inspection visit of the GPIC Complex upon taking up his new office in the new term of the Company’s Board of Directors.

He was welcomed upon arrival of Mr. Abdul Rahman Jawahery, GPIC General Manager, members of the executive management and heads of departments in the Company.

During the visit, Mr. Anwar Saeed bin Salama praised the outstanding and sincere efforts made by all the Company’s staff members and contributed to the continuous operation of the plants at high levels of efficiency, productivity and without any time lost accidents as a result of compliance with the highest health, safety and environmental standards.

The Managing Director tours all the departments of the Company and talked to the staff members. He also honoured some of the Company’s employees who effectively contributed to the Company’s win of several prestigious local and international awards.

At the end of the visit, Mr. Salama said he was very pleased and delighted with what he had seen and heard. He praised the Company’s management for their close and regular supervision  of all the Company’s operations and business affairs. He wished them further success to be able to maintain the Company’s gains and high standing among its peers of regional and international industrial companies.

Meanwhile, Mr. Abdul Rahman Jawahery, General Manager expressed his sincere thanks to Mr. Salama for honouring the Company with this visit and praised his continuous support and encouragement. He also expressed the hope that the visit would be the first step towards the launch of new expansion projects under his leadership. He added it is fortunate that the Managing Director’s visit coincides with registering the highest monthly output of 10 million metric tons of ammonia, methanol and urea. 

In addition, Mr. Jawahery praised the efforts made by the Company’s Trade Union and the latter’s co-operation with the management to create a strong and consistent workforce to achieve the Company’s objectives.  He added the achievements made by GPIC would not have been possible without the significant contributions made by all the Company’s staff members. He lauded the unlimited support received by the Company from the Board of Directors led by HE Shaikh Isa bin Ali AL Khalifa, Chairman and all members of the Board.
