A delegation from GPIC participated in the “Research and Innovation Conference” and the “Agri-Nutrients Conference”. The delegation was headed by Eng. Yasser Abdelrahim Alabbasi, GPIC President, and the event included a number of prominent speakers and saw the presentation of many specialist working papers during the various sessions.
The “GPCA Agri-Nutrients Conference” aims to attract executives from regional and worldwide companies producing fertilizers as well as their partners from marketing and technical companies related to the industry to exchange information on future trends, and to explore and discuss issues related to food security and long-term strategies for fertilizer production.
The “GPCA Research and Innovation Conference” aims to encourage and spread a culture of innovation in the sector, in addition to being a platform to attract closer cooperation between industry and academic institutions in the Gulf countries.
In addition to both conferences, GPCA held its “Annual Forum”, which is the most prominent gathering of the regional petrochemical sector. GPIC has been an active participant in the various periodic and annual events held by the Gulf Petrochemicals and Chemicals Association since its inception in 2006.
Gulf Petrochemicals and Chemicals Association is the first association of its kind in the Middle East, and it has witnessed a steady expansion in its activities since its establishment, directing the chemical and petrochemical companies in the GCC towards a new era of mutually beneficial cooperation.
