An Overview of our Recruitment Process

At GPIC, our goal is to attract and retain high calibre people with the capacity to contribute to the growth of our organisation.

Our online job application system involves us taking jobseekers through a structured recruitment process. The following steps will give you a good idea of what to expect.

  • Step 1 – Application
  • Step 2 – Screening
  • Step 3 – Shortlist
  • Step 4 – Test, Interviews & Final Selection Process
  • Step 5 – Employment Offer and Joining Process

Step 1 – Application:

GPIC only accepts applications submitted through our career site. The entire application process should take no longer than 7-8 minutes and typically involves four stages:

  • Sign up for the website
  • Enter basic personal, educational and (if applicable) past and current career information
  • Attach your CV, identification documents (i.e. passport/smartcard) and any other attachments you deem necessary
  • Apply for a vacancy

If no vacancy exists that suits your qualifications/experience, your information will be stored in our dedicated recruitment database for future requirements. If you have created a profile and not applied for a vacancy, you will be considered for upcoming positions should a vacancy arise (and should they be relevant to your background).

We take the view that if you are passionate about our company you will be more than willing to take a little time to complete this process.

Step 2 – Screening:

Your application will be assessed by our recruitment team. They are responsible for screening your profile and reviewing your CV to determine whether your skills and experience match the job profile and requirements. A shortlist of candidates is created for the next step.

Step 3 – Shortlisting:

If your application is shortlisted, your profile and details will be reviewed by the Line Manager (the person who will eventually manage or supervise the successful candidate). The Line Manager will gauge the technical skills and specific experience for the role, and with the recruitment team, selects the candidates who will be contacted for interview.

Step 4 – Test & Interviews:

Our recruitment team will contact the shortlisted applicants to arrange for a test. The results of this test will then determine whether or not you will be called for an initial interview.

Should a test not be required, an initial interview will be scheduled with the candidates which will either be face-to-face or via Skype, depending on the candidate’s location.

The initial interview will examine the competencies and skills required for the role you have applied for. We will also discuss your reasons for choosing GPIC and, where applicable, your readiness to relocate to a new country.

Human Resources and Corporate Communications Department and the concerned departments are all actively involved in the final selection process, ensuring that we hire the best candidate for the role.

Prior to meeting us, you will receive plenty of additional information about the company and the role, and you will have every chance to ask questions throughout the recruitment process. Should you not receive any information from us after an interview, this may indicate that we are keeping your information on our database for a position in the future.

Step 5 – Employment Offer and Joining Process:

If you are successful at this stage, you will receive a formal offer of employment from GPIC. On your written acceptance of the role, we will start to coordinate your onboarding process.

Please note that upon receipt of an offer from GPIC, you may be required to provide some or all of the following:

  • Attested educational certificates from the Ministry of Education - Bahrain (not required for Bahraini Government Educational Establishments)
  • Police Good Conduct Certificate (GPIC will provide you with a letter addressed to the Ministry of Interior)
  • Medical Reports from the GPIC Medical Centre
  • Other documentation as required by the company and as per the Bahraini Labour Law
