A delegation of the workers from the Saudi Company for Mass Transport (SAPTCO), led by its Chairman, Mr. Salah Al-Abbad, visited the Gulf Petrochemical Industries Company to have a look at the plant.

GPIC General Manager Manufacturing Mr. Yasser Al Abbasi, members of the Executive Management and representatives of the Bahrain Free Labour Unions Federation received the guests.

Mr. Al Abbasi conveyed to the visitors the greetings of Company President Dr. Abdulrahman Jawahery and said the visit to their second home would cement further the strong ties between the two Countries.

In a statement, Dr. Jawahery said that the visit was an opportunity to meet with the leaders of the Bahrain Free Labour Unions Federation and exchange views on the possibility of enhancing bilateral relations benefiting both parties. He stressed on the importance of continuing such communication and coordination between the Gulf labor Unions, which had a great impact in supporting all efforts aimed at improving the level of workers and preserving their rights.

Mr. Al-Abbad thanked GPIC officials for the welcome and the hospitality and expressed admiration for the Company's commitment to its workers, who enjoy all advantages that employers can offer. He also spoke about the close relations between the Management and the Laour Union and said it were a unique model of co-operation.

He said he also hoped Managements of other companies would follow the GPIC example.
