In cooperation with the Kingdom of Bahrain’s Ministry of Health, Gulf Petrochemical Industries Co. (GPIC) organized a COVID-19 Testing Campaign for all employees to sustain the safety and health of the company’s workforce. 

In line with the Kingdom of Bahrain’s efforts to control and minimize the spread of the COVID-19 Virus, the campaign was organized to detect positive cases and, if appropriate, apply contact tracing.  

In a statement, Dr. Abdulrahman Jawahery, GPIC’s President, conveyed his thanks and appreciation to HRH Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa Crown Prince, Deputy Supreme Commander and First Deputy Prime Minister for his excellent leadership of the Kingdom’s National Team to Combat COVID-19 and its success.  Dr. Jawahery also thanked the Ministry of Health’s Officials for their co-operation in organizing GPIC’s campaign aiming to control the spread of the virus within the Kingdom.   

Dr. Jawahery praised the exceptional efforts of GPIC’s Medical Centre guided by Dr. Mohammed Salim Jibril, Chief Medical Officer in organizing and implementing the campaign efficiently and effectively. Since the beginning of pandemic, GPIC’s Medical Taskforce have demonstrated exceptional dedication in safeguarding the company’s employees, their families and operations by implementing various precautionary measures, ongoing monitoring, awareness and COVID-19 testing. 

GPIC’s President stressed the significance of precautionary measures implementation and awareness provided by all organizations and associations to ensure the safety and health of their employees and the surrounding environment. 

Dr. Abdulrahman Jawahery conveyed his thanks and appreciation to the Kingdom of Bahrain’s Government representing the Kingdom’s Leadership in controlling the spread of the pandemic that has negatively impacted nations and countries worldwide. GPIC’s President once again stressed the importance of setting controlled measures and employees’ co-operation to help minimize the spread of the COVID-19 virus. 

In a statement, Dr. Mohammed Jibril, GPIC Chief Medical Officer said that the campaign was well organized and implemented by the Medical Centre in co-operation the Ministry of Health Officials by providing the required testing equipment and facilities. 

Dr. Jibril praised the excellent response and participation of all GPIC employees in the COVID-19 testing campaign, in which accurate and efficient test were taken to detect any positive cases and, if appropriate, apply contract tracing by the Ministry of Health and BeAware Application in efforts to safeguard the employees and their families from the spread of the virus.

Dr. Jibril stressed the importance of all precautionary measures like wearing face masks, washing hands, social distancing etc. at these difficult and critical times. Dr. Jibril also, conveyed his sincere thanks and appreciation GPIC’s Management Team headed by Dr. Abdulrahman Jawahery for their unlimited support and guidance leading to the success of the campaign.
